Our visiting our party of four consisted of 3 world travelers and two who have been to Italy enjoyed our stay at Trattoria iL Gusto. The atmosphere was very traditional for a Italian restaurant and wine bar. We had an erray of Italian food but the lamb chops were amazing. Topped with Tiramisu and a double espresso end our afternoon with a thought of heavenly food and happy thoughts. We even forgot it was raining outside. We could have stayed here for hours. Highly recommend, a must when visiting New York.
Always love discovering a new Italian spot I can add to my list and this Trattoria and wine bar on the Upper West Side has a perfect menu and vibe for date night! They have a Beautiful outdoor dining setup and an intimate, artfully decorated inside dining area perfect for a birthday dinner or after work glass of wine. Here were our meal highlights: Fried Calamari Linguine Vongole Montanara: Pappardelle with braised, veal mushrooms and basil Lamb chops with a Chianti wine sauce and mushroom risotto Tiramisu
We were given menues and our waiter patiently gave us as much time as we needed. A pasta soup was great, as well as a salmon and gnocci, delicious. Enjoyed my meal, seated outdoor.
Great spot on the upper west side. The place had good food, wines and ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed my seafood magic, pulled with some Montepulciano! The dessert selection coupled with the port wine was a nice touch.
Delicious Italian food with the best pasta filled with flavor. Vegetarian options like minestrone soup filled with vegetables and of course pasta with vegetables. Large indoor and outdoor seating perfect for large parties. We had 7 people sitting very comfortably. A 5 star experience! My friends had clams and enjoyed the food very much. Nice place with very good food. Surprisingly empty for a Saturday night. Swordfish was great. Orchiette pasta with sausage and broccoli was also very good. Decently priced wine list. Very nice atmosphere. Will go again.
